Again? South Korean Organization DWG KIA is Rebranding

DWG KIA is undoubtedly one of the best South Korean esports organizations to enter the scene. Investing extensively in games such as League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rainbox Six Siege. The corporation is rebranding just in time for the 2023 LCK season.
On January 9, DWG KIA announced that the company would change its name to Dplus KIA. The letter D will remain in the company’s name to honor and recognize its past achievements. It includes winning the LCK championship three times and overcoming all challenges at Worlds 2020 to become world champions.
According to a news release, the plus symbol represents “limitless connectivity and expansive possibilities for a bright future.”
The renaming represents a new chapter for Dplus KIA and an opportunity for the squad and company to establish themselves as League’s true legends further. Joon Young Lee, vice Chairman/COO of Dplus KIA, stated, “We’re eager to begin a new chapter in our organization’s illustrious history with this fantastic team and the bold projects we have planned for this year that will attract a new wave of fans to the Dplus KIA family.”
With the addition of current superstar and world champion Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, Dplus KIA enters the 2023 LCK winter split with a roster that is more than just potential. The crew will also consist of Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, Heo “ShowMaker” Su, and Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-Gyu.
